An update =)
— posted at June 27th, 2006 by luc in BlogIncase anyone is wondering about the lack of updates… Its just coz nothing really interesting is happening… Most if not all of my days are spent with one or more of the foosers training for God knows what. I really need to do something a little more productive. Ram and hanna are with PWC this summer and the guys arent back from UK yet. Oh well… Im helping EE organize a Membership, Points Ranked System, Handicap League for the 4 new tables that are going into Mambo on friday. Slowly but surely it will be as happening as AC or Breakers in KL. Our standard is low but our community is small so everyone is tight… just how it should be. The next generation of foosers is already coming up… Im happy with the progress everyone is making both community wise and individual wise too. Anyway enough foos talk, im just gonna wack a few pictures in of the recent HSBC/Power98 Indochines foosball challenge. It was fun despite the format being fucked up… race to 3 points? Hello?! Hacked to death mean anything? Anyway Yibao and Erbao won it, and Farid + James took 2nd. So the grand prize of 500 bucks of dining vouchers and shitloads of chicken essence were ours =p

Anyway its been 2 weeks since i left the UK and to be honest, i miss it. People in Singapore are just so… Dull! I dont mean it in a very offensive manner people… its just that in the UK, you can actually have a convo with a complete stranger about the most random things on the street without them thinking you are crazy and that they have to call the cops on you. At indochines, the service was appaling, the waitress had a pretty face, but a fucking butt ugly scowl on. I had it in me to call the manager when she chucked us to our seats, rolled her eyes constantly and dropped my menu in front of me… Cmon, I work in the F&B industry too ok… If your day sucks/Bf or gf dump you/lost money on WC leave it at the door cow…
That was a little digress.. sorry it has nothing to do with singapore… coz usually waitresses here are good, not great english speakers, but good. I hate that people dont get drunken and disorderly like the brits, coz to be honest, loud and raucous as they seem, they are great fun… I was watching England v Trinidad at a pub here and i shouted by second nature “COME ON, GET IN… GET IN MY SON!” For england, and people thought i was suffering from tourettes, when the same thing could have got you a pint in uk. I’m not saying UK rules and Sg sucks coz its Apples and freaking Oranges. I love singapore and Malaysia for everything it has to offer me, friends, lifestyle, food, and shit i LOVE speaking in Hokkien/Mandarin/Malay… but hell i miss UK… Im starting to really consider staying on after Uni… Perhaps the biggest thing i miss about the UK…
