Apple Quicktime is probably one of the more legit applications sitting on my computer at the moment. You see, if you were just an ordinary computer user you’d have no choice but to use Quicktime to play those elusive .mov movies and to view those wonderful trailers at www.apple.com/trailers.
However, I came across one big problem. Every single time I used QT to view movies in my browser, the movie would automatically load fullscreen. While this isn’t a bad thing per se, it is bloody annoying. First of all, ‘cause you can’t click anything. No menu whatsoever pops up whether it be right-click, left-click, double-click or single click. The only thing clicking is the banging sound of the keys of my keyboard whilst I ferociously wave my third digit in the air.
Secondly, the annoyance factor simply triples ‘cause the only way to exit the bloody fullscreen, slow-loading movie is to hit Alt-F4. Which effectively kills your browsing experience (Nooo I had 18 Mozilla Firefox tabs open!).
Anyhoo… since there were NO solutions whatsoever to the problem on google or the Apple website, I did a bit of tinkering of my own and solved the problem to my Apple Quicktime movie browser playback always fullscreen problem. Oh, my choice of words is intentional: google search catch-all link whoring hehe :)

The solution? UNCHECK the DirectDraw options under Quicktime settings > Video Settings and keep them on Safe Mode. Must be a video card setting related problem there too; ALL DirectDraw = fullscreen maybe? Doh!
If you hadn’t been living under a rock in Malaysia for the past year, you’d probably know those desas-desus-es (rumours) at your local kopitiam or mamak stall of the porno VCD entitled “Kisah Pramugara Yang Terlampau” (The Excessive Lifestyle Of A Steward). Seems that the world is moving in Paris Hilton’s direction!
Anyway, here’s the newslink to the ending of that heh… saga. I’m not sure if the story made it to Malaysian newspapers. I don’t think the public would appreciate the “finer” details of the videotape.
I recorded sex acts for own viewing, says ex-steward (Straits Times)
After a long Easter hiatus, I am back… Umm, actually, I was back like 2 weeks ago, but decided not to blog anything heh. As CWan pointed out, I was in Italy for a good 10 days for the duration of the vacation. The excess time was spent catching up with tv-episodes previously downloaded and stagnating on my hard drive and going down to London and Norwich.

Italy was excellent! IMHO, it was a good 420 pounds well spent. 10 days living in a budget environment with 7 other people wasn’t too bad. My only grouse (correction: one of my many grouses), was that the accommodation became progressively worse as we travelled down south from Venice to Rome. Let me elaborate, but first a disclaimer. If its a more detailed travelog you want, you’re probably better off waiting for Jillian to blog about our trip. She’s busy reminiscing by herself at the moment though and promises to write once that is over.
(more…)I have been very annoyed by the last question of this IQ test. I found the answer through trial and error, but I will be very grateful if someone can actually figure it out and explain it to me.
It’s question 39, answer is B.
Please.
Thank You.
It’s been fairly quiet here… this is my meek attempt at explaining why.
Zaaba is in Italy at the moment, he should be having fun and will be coming back soon.
Luc is preparing for his exams (or maybe not ?), he did mention something about GM-ing a RO server.
I am, and always will be, the boring, uninteresting slob that bums around all day, staring at my BT downloads.
“I spent more time researching my mobile’s tariff than on my mortgage!”- some random feller heard on the streets of Cambridge.
Moore’s Law states that the physical speed of processors will double every few years or so. But who wants to know about processors and hardware when the same law can be applied to handphones! The speed of phone innovation is just stunning. Just read on to find out whats in store come Autumn when most phone contracts terminate and call for a (hopefully, FREE) upgrade! After a brief history lesson on phone ownership that is…
