Of Blogs and Blogging

I have not touched Blogger in eons, the last time being when I first enbarked on the great quest (?) to own a blog and a virtual piece of real estate in internet-ville. Last night my sister asked me to teach her how to blog, or more specifically… how to create a website. Talk about a road trip down memory lane!

Well, started off pretty well, with signing ons at Blogger and FreeWebSites.com going smoothly – but right now I’m tearing my hair (or what’s left of it heh) out trying to figure out the right path to the server so that stupid blogger can post via FTP. Apparently, if blogs are hosted on blogspot, you’re restricted to pure html design sans graphics which means no pictures/backgrounds whatsoever. And of course, pure CSS websites are sinfully dull if they are without supplementary graphics. Digressing: extreme cases of excellent CSS design can be found on the csszengarden.

Anyway, I would have dumped her here at td.com temporarily, but learning how to do these things with an unstable server is certainly not the way to go. Things were pretty fine in the beginning of the year before the server switch, perhaps things will be fine and dandy once Mr Server Jenssen looks into things. Wierd… I can’t even ping td.com at times let alone FTP into it. And the DNS server refuses to resolve too at random intervals. Oh well… can’t complain can we :)

And thus the above covers the next excuse for the delay in td.com version 4 point oh heh!
