Hello ppl… just a quick blog to vent my frustration of my AS level exams.
1. Pure Maths Paper 1 9709/1
2. Computing for Geniuses
3. Statistics paper 6 9709/6
The biggest questions sadly from my year,
ARE YOU SURE THIS IS AS?
THEY DIDNT MIX THE QUESTION PAPERS UP RIGHT?
I JUST FOUND A NEW CHEMICAL ELEMENT WHICH DOES NOT ADHERE TO ANY CHEMICAL TESTS OR PROPERTIES! HUH? WHAT HISTOGRAM?
BETTER START STUDYING FOR NOVEMBER!
I DONT GIVE A #*&$ HOW MANY CHOCOLATE COOKIES ARE THERE IN A $#Q(*&^ RANDOM SAMPLE OF #($*& MIXED COOKIES IF I CHOOSE 4 FROM A BOX OF 400
and the list goes on…. guess what
4. Pure mathematics paper 3
5. Mechanics
to go…. yay…. ;p
The following is an actual question on a University of Washington mid-term Chemistry paper. One student’s answer was so good that the examiner shared it with colleagues via the internet.
Bonus Question:
Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of the beliefs using Boyle’s Law i.e. gas cools off when it expands and heats up when compressed or some variant thereof.
One individual, however, wrote the following…
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing over time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are entering and leaving. I think we can safely assume that once a soul arrives in Hell, it will not be departing. Therefore, no souls are leaving.
As for the number of souls entering Hell, we must look at the various religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you are damned. Since there are several of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number there to increase exponentially.
Now we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to remain constant, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities:
a) if Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose; or
b) if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase in souls, then the temperature and pressure will fall until Hell freezes over.
So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that “....it’ll be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you” and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then b) cannot be true. Thus, I am left with and am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze.
The student received the only A grade given.
Ok, to those unfortunate ppl who did not get to see the Revolutions trailer at the cinema, td.com has a bit of a jewel for download. It’s the trailer for Revolutions coming out in November. I foresee a leeching btw…
Konbanwa~~~
Heh… just came back from the Manchester University’s Japanese Cultural Event thinggy. Hehe… 5 quid for LOTS AND LOTS OF SUSHI huhuhu! Well, we were only supposed to have 1 round, but being a disciple of the Naq “H” Team, I went not once, not twice but THREE times! Yes you lot, you can be proud of me :)
Basically there was a slideshow about Japan, showcasing this and that and then came the FOOD. OoOoOoh… my cravings all nicely satisfied. Honestly, I don’t know exactly WHAT I had, only that the food was TOTEMO OISHI des. And for 5 quid too woot! I shan’t bore you with more details, I’ll let the nice photoblog do the speaking.
whack whack whack!
Ok, call this “movie hype” if you will, but I just came back from watching Reloaded at the cinema. The UK decided to release the movie 1 week after the official release date in the States (15 June) AND EVEN LATER THAN MALAYSIA! Wow… that’s probably a first.
But actually, I think that’s a smart thing to do; releasing movies faster in the Eastern countries. That way, you’d probably be able to get around them VCD pirates (quality bagus punya haha! – Remember that advert?) who hang around night markets and my fav VCD haunt – Uptown.
I actually watched the movie a week ago (PIRATTTTEEE! I SCREAM PIRAATTTEEEE) but hey, come on, I watched the thing at the cinema didn’t I? Doing my part in giving WB and the Waichowski (sp) brothers more cash and moolah. Sheesh…
Anyway, spoilers await so I shan’t say more.
Oh, and if you DO watch the movie, stay on longer after the credits roll for a teaser for Revolutions :P
I’m going to setup the comment system after this. All about cause and effect. This post, definitely BEGS comments :)
Well, it with great reluctance that I present to you the RARE TREASURE HUNT PHOTOS! Few eyes have feasted (WTF???) on these rarities… Be prepared for the WORST though, as these photos are only to be viewed by people with the strongest of stomachs and a penchant for images so… so… tasteful (again, WTF???).
Salutations peeps…
Sorry i havent been posting for a while… but i had plenty of other things on my mind… A combination of exams and such else…. Sigh. Anyway, notice the title… contrary to popular belief, there IS life after a breakup! Quoting a friend of mine…
After A breakup, if you had something special, you can never be friends, it wont be the same!
I hate studying.
Stupid exams.
Argh.
Things I’m looking foward to :-
– going home( Malaysia ) in less than a month.
– more then 2GB worth of X-men comics.
– more than enough anime and tv episodes.
(damn you bittorrent !)
LOL
Well, I have 3 weeks to go before my exam counter hits zero. Soon after, I’ll be counting the days to the 11th of June when my exams finish. And following that, another countdown to the 15th, when I’ll be flying back home to Malaysia.
Seeing how dependant I am on countdowns to tell me exactly how much time I have left to properly prepare myself for events to come, I can only wonder how is it I had the time to dig up my PS2 out of my closet for a nice round of Guilty Gear XX: The Midnight Carnival to ease my umm… tension (hee hee – alasan… alasan…) I had it buried in there for a full month believe it or not!
